Welcome to the Department of Business Administration and Tourism and Hospitality Management

Business Administration Studies

Rosaria1The Department of Business and Tourism offers three academic credentials in business administration: a degree, a diploma, and a certificate. You can enter the four-year degree program, or choose to do stepping stones from certificate, through diploma, through degree.

Mount students enjoy a highly personalized education with small class sizes and frequent, direct contact with faculty members, who are experienced in both academics and professional practice. Graduates go on to have exciting careers. Many choose to continue their education by doing master's degrees or completing professional credentials.

The Mount's BBA is designed to be flexible enough to allow students to customize their studies to meet their needs and interests, while also obtaining a high quality professional business degree with a solid background in core business subjects, such as marketing, management, accounting and finance.

Choose to major in any of those disciplines, with a minor in a second discipline, or a non-business area. Or, choose to do single concentration, or do a double concentration instead of a major/minor. Concentrations are also available in economics and tourism and hospitality management. The ability to customize your studies enhances the overall learning experience.

Students may also enhance their BBA by choosing to do Co-operative Education. BBA degrees with Co-op provide a full year of related work experience during completion of the degree. This is a winning combination for students, enabling them to compete more successfully for jobs in their field.

The Mount also makes it possible  to maximize the return on your educational investment by combining credentials to graduate with a degree and a certificate in a non-business area. For example, BBA students can also complete a Certificate in Tourism and Hospitality Management, or certificates in Spanish or French. Having more credentials can give you an added benefit in the job market, leading to bigger and better opportunities.
