The Maritime Data Centre for Aging Research and Policy Analysis (MDC) was developed by funding from the Canada Foundation for innovation, along with Mount Saint Vincent University’s first Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Aging and Caregiving Policy.

The mission of the Global Aging and Community Initiative is to create new knowledge focused on the health and well-being of older persons worldwide through collaborative research across a broad global scientific community. The Initiative was created by Dr. Zachary Zimmer in 2016 through his Tier 1 Canada Research Chair.

Nova Scotia Centre on Aging

The Nova Scotia Centre of Aging is a university-based research centre that conducts research on age-related issues. Established in 1992, the Centre is affiliated with Mount Saint Vincent University’s Department of Family Studies and Gerontology and works on initatives which will benefit the aged, their families, and communities.
