Science Circles.

What is Science Circles?

It is an evening of hands-on science exploration for students (& teachers!) grades 7-12 . These events are free! Registration opens a month before each session.

All events are from 6:15pm -7:30pm in Evaristus Hall building at MSVU. Campus map found here, Evaristus Hall is building number 12 on map.

Events for 2023-2024:

  • Wednesday November 15 – Mathematics
  • Wednesday January 31 – Biology
  • Wednesday February 21 – Science Communication
  • Wednesday April 24 – Chemistry
  • Wednesday May 15 – Nutrition. Join Jillian Ruhl for nutrition science circle. Are you a “supertaster”? Examine how taste buds and genes affect your food preferences! In this session, students will explore what kind of food taster they are and find out if they have certain genes and varying tongue fungiform papillae (taste buds) which affect taste sensitivity. Pre-registration is required as space is limited. Only registered participants will be permitted to attend.
