3 Minutes. One Slide. No Pressure.
Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is a Canadian graduate student competition sponsored by the Canadian Association for Graduate Studies (CAGS). It began in Australia at the University of Queensland in 2008, and has since spread to countries and universities around the world. Participants must describe their research in an engaging and accessible way to a live audience—in under three minutes. Competitors are allowed to use a single static slide as a visual aid.
3MT is held annually in April. Learn more about 3MT by visiting the CAGS website.
