External Scholarships
The three Canadian research granting councils The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR) award fellowships and scholarships to Masters and Doctoral students. Students currently registered at a Canadian University must apply through their home University.

Internal Scholarships
MSVU Graduate Merit Scholarships are awarded to graduate students on the basis of course work completed at Mount Saint Vincent University. To be considered for merit awards, students must have completed a minimum of 2.0 units of graduate course work by April 30 of the year of application, maintained continuous registration throughout the year of application, be in good academic standing, have achieved an outstanding academic record and demonstrated that they will make a significant contribution to their discipline or field. Applications are available from departments, Registrar's Office and the Office of the Dean of Graduate Studies, Seton 302. Applications must be received by Dr. Kim Kienapple, Dean of Graduate Studies, Seton 302, by May 15. Applications can be mailed, faxed (902-443-8211) or emailed to kim.kienapple@msvu.ca. Applications will be copied to departments, who will be asked to rank the applicant from their department. In the Faculty of Education, Coordinators of individual programs will be asked to rank their applicants.
