All Available Scholarships

At North, we recognize the need for better representation, diversity and inclusion within the craft beer and restaurant communities. We recognize that there are deep seeded systems and practices within our industry that result in a lack of representation and opportunity for so many people.

This annual scholarship will be awarded to a local candidate who is entering any of the following programs at a University or College within the HRM: hospitality, sciences, engineering, design, fabrication/trades, business/entrepreneurship, art/design and any other field that is (or could be!) related to the brewing industry. The scholarship will be comprised of two parts: $1500 awarded to the successful candidate for each year of school attended in the program they are entering upon receipt of the scholarship (up to 4 years of schooling), plus guaranteed summer employment either in the taproom, retail, kitchen or production, for the duration of their education.

Our goal is to provide work opportunities and funding for education to individuals who are underrepresented in our industry, with the goal of working towards making the craft beer and restaurant industries more welcoming and equitable.

We will announce yearly when we are open for applications and when they will be closed for the year.
