About the LEAD Fundraiser

Mount Saint Vincent University’s Department of Business and Tourism is proud to launch a brand-new initiative – the LEAD Fundraiser.

LEAD stands for Learning, Engagement, Advancement, and Development, reflecting our commitment to helping students gain the skills, confidence, and experiences they need to thrive in their future careers.

This exciting lottery-style fundraiser offers supporters the chance to win prizes of varying values, with over $10,000 in total prizes to be won, while directly contributing to student success. Our students are also playing an active role in promoting and organizing the fundraiser, making it a true learning opportunity.

All proceeds go toward student-driven learning opportunities such as:

  • Conferences and case competitions
  • Industry networking events and field experiences
  • Experiential learning activities that build professional confidence and career readiness
  • And so much more!

Your support of our LEAD fundraiser helps ensure students can continue to enjoy these valuable experiences at little to no cost, as the funds raised will help subsidize these activities.

How It Works

🎟 Tickets: $50 each or 3 for $100
📅 Lottery Runs: January 15 – March 31, 2026
🏆 Prize Draw Date: Wednesday, April 8, 2026
💰 Total Prizes: Over $10,000 in value

Every ticket purchased supports our Business and Tourism students on their journey as they prepare to become future leaders of tomorrow.

50/50 Add-On Option

Supporters who purchase a lottery ticket can also buy a 50/50 ticket for a chance to wine half of the total 50/50 proceeds. When purchasing your lottery ticket, you’ll be prompted to select your 50/50 option:

  • No 50/50 ticket
  • $10 for 1 ticket
  • $25 for 5 tickets

The cost of your selected 50/50 option will be added to your $50 (or 3 for $100) lottery ticket purchase.

Why Your Support Matters

The LEAD Fundraiser replaces our long-standing Tourism Education Alliance of the Maritimes (TEAM) Dinner and Auction, offering a new approach to partnership that strengthens connections between MSVU and our community. Through this initiative, partners help create meaningful opportunities for students by providing resources, prizes, and professional connections that enhance real-world learning experiences, while gaining visibility across campus and throughout the business and tourism community.  Every contribution directly supports student learning initiatives and events that connect classroom theory with real-world practice – experiences that prepare our graduates to thrive as future leaders.

In addition, we are proud to announce the creation of a Business and Tourism Endowment Fund, ensuring that future students benefit from these opportunities for years to come.
