General Information

This program requires the completion of 2.0 units of coursework and a 2.0 unit thesis. This is a comprehensive, research-driven program designed for individuals who wish to deepen their understanding of the natural world and contribute to advancing knowledge through scientific inquiry. This program challenges students to tackle and solve complex problems by blending theoretical knowledge with practical research skills. The program is thesis-based, allowing students to explore and address key scientific questions under the guidance of experienced supervisors.

Students will normally have completed a four-year baccalaureate degree with honours (or equivalent) in a natural science area (e.g., biology, chemistry, mathematics, neuroscience, physics, psychology, or statistics) from an accredited university with a minimum of a B average (GPA 3.0) over the most recent 10.0 units of course work.

Applicants must complete the Graduate Studies Application Package available online at msvu.ca/applyonline by February 15 for fall admission and to maximize funding opportunities; however, admissions received after this date may be considered.
