Where to Find Your Academic Advisor
Prospective students should connect with MSVU’s Recruitment Team or Admissions Office. Please connect with our office once you have your MSVU student ID number, email address, and transcript assessment (if applicable).
It is recommended that students in the following programs reach out to the contacts below for academic advising:
- Public Relations and Communications students, please contact: Kathryn.Britten@msvu.ca
- Education (B.Ed. & Master’s) students, please contact: education@msvu.ca
- All Graduate students, please contact: graduate@msvu.ca or your faculty advisor
Students in all other undergraduate programs at MSVU can book an academic advising appointment with staff advisors in the Centre for Academic Advising & Student Success (CAASS).

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
We are booked till Friday, September 4th. We have Same-Day Academic Advising appointments starting Tuesday, September 8th to the 16th from 9am to 4pm. You can book the appointment by coming in-person at Seton 303 or by calling us at 902-457-6657. Due to high volumes of in-person drop-ins and phone calls, email requests will not be taken during this period.
If you don’t get an appointment in the first two attempts, you will get booked the third time. We will open to regular bookings again on Monday, September 14th. If you need an urgent appointment before the Same-Day Advising period, please reach out to us at advising@msvu.ca.

- Login to myMount/Email and update password [if necessary]
- Download and familiarize yourself with Microsoft TEAMS [virtual appointments only]
- Review first-year advising resources [new students]
- Review and complete your program checklist [current students]
- Have your MSVU student ID number accessible
- Create a list of questions you’d like to ask your advisor
