Health Office response to COVID-19 pandemic
The Health Office is committed to serving our patients during this challenging time. We are booking patients primarily for phone or video conference appointments, which allows us to serve patients no matter where you are in the province. We continue to write prescriptions and issue referrals as we would under our usual practice.

Treatments and Services Available
The Health Office offers a variety of services, including:
- Doctors appointments for medical services (non-emergency)
- Triage nurse available for same day walk-in’s
- Flu shots (seasonally), immunizations
- (TB) Tuberculosis testing
- (STI) sexually transmitted infection screening
- IUD removal / PAP tests
- Referrals to specialists
- Birth control education

There is a $40 charge for appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice or a “no show”. Please ensure you contact the Health Office to cancel or reschedule. A fee of $40 is also applied for late arrivals and appointment will be rescheduled.
Due to patient Confidentiality, test results (including blood tests) cannot be given over the phone. Please make a follow-up appointment with your doctor to review your results.
Sexual Assault Support
The Manager of Health Services is available for help concerning an immediate sexual assault by calling 902-457-6354. You can also call the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) line at 902-425-0122. Health Clinic for Trans, Non-Binary and Questioning Students – Fall 2019
Following the success of last year’s clinic, the Health Office will run a second clinic in fall 2019. How does it work? The Health Office will close for general appointments and reserve timeslots for students who identify as trans, non-binary or questioning. Students will receive care in a safer, supportive environment, and access services and information about how they can be supported by the Health Office.
