Welcome to MSVU! We are so excited to meet you! Please feel free to review program requirements in the Academic Calendar and review our First-Year Advising Page. The course selection guide on the First-Year Advising Page gives an idea of what a first-year student may take. The video on how to use myMount will help you learn how to register for your courses.
Where to Find Your Academic Advisor
Prospective students should connect with MSVU’s Recruitment Team or Admissions Office. Please connect with our office once you have your MSVU student ID number, email address, and transcript assessment (if applicable).
It is recommended that students in the following programs reach out to the contacts below for academic advising:
- Public Relations and Communications students, please contact: Kathryn.Britten@msvu.ca.
- Education (B.Ed. & Master’s) students, please contact: education@msvu.ca.
- All Graduate students, please contact: graduate@msvu.ca or your faculty advisor.
Students in all other undergraduate programs at MSVU CAN book an academic advising appointment with staff advisors in the Centre for Academic Advising & Student Success (CAASS):

To prepare for your advising appointment, please review:
- Login to myMount/Email and update password [if necessary]
- Download and familiarize yourself with Microsoft TEAMS [virtual appointments only]
- Review first-year advising resources [new students]
- Review and complete your program checklist [current students]
- Have your MSVU student ID number accessible
- Create a list of questions you’d like to ask your advisor
