Please feel free to review program requirements in the Academic Calendar and review our First-Year Advising Page. The course selection guide on the First-Year Advising Page gives an idea of what a typical first-year student may take.
Good to Know:
Prospective students should connect with MSVU’s Recruitment Team or Admissions Office. Please connect with our office once you have your MSVU student ID number, email address, and transcript assessment (if applicable).
It is recommended that accepted students in the following programs reach out to the respective contacts for academic advising. The Academic Advisors are unable to assist students in Education or Graduate programs. Some exceptions may apply.

- All Graduate students, please contact: graduate@msvu.ca or your faculty advisor.

The course selection guide from the drop-down menu gives an idea of what a typical first-year student may take. You can register for courses through myMount by selecting ‘Register for courses’. There is a video on our first-year advising page that walks through the registration process.
RETURNING STUDENTS: Program requirements in the Academic Calendar, and either refresh yourself with our First-Year Academic Advising Page and/or review our Returning Students page, including the Program Checklist. You can register for courses through myMount by selecting ‘Register for courses’. There is a video on our first-year advising page that walks through the registration process.
Prepare for your academic advising appointment:
- Login to myMount/Email and update password [if necessary]
- Download and familiarize yourself with Microsoft TEAMS [virtual appointments only]
- Review first-year advising resources [new students]
- Review and complete your program checklist [current students]
- Have your MSVU student ID number accessible
- Create a list of questions you’d like to ask your advisor
