Fitness Classes

The Mount Fitness Centre will be offering fitness classes online through Skype For Business.  We now have 5 FREE virtual fitness classes per week to keep you moving!

DANCEFIT:  Mondays 7:00-7:50 p.m

An all levels cardio workout incorporating songs you love and a wide variety of dance styles. Class will finish with some core training and a relaxing stretch. The focus is on having fun, sweating, burning off stress, and smiles!

BOX & TONE:  Wednesday 12:00-12:45 p.m.

Energy, strength, power, stress burn-all things you may gain from regular participation in this class. Lots of options ensure everyone is able to participate in their own way and still get a great workout! Basic kickboxing combos will be combined with muscle toning exercises to fit in during your at home lunch break and if you can stay after class, a 5 minute mindfulness session completes the package.

Tabata Fit with Brigitte: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:15 p.m
Looking for a challenge? Try this total body system workout that incorporates high intensity exercise bouts with short rest intervals. Only 30 minutes makes it easy to fit in to your life!

Power 45 with Brigitte: Saturdays at 9:00 a.m.
Combining full-body strength training moves with high intensity cardio bursts designed to tone your body, improve your endurance and enhance your overall well-being. Get and keep your heart rate up and burn more fat/calories in less time! workout.


Participants are asked to please complete and return our Release Agreements (attached to the meeting invitation).  We also require that you complete an online PAR-Q form (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) before joining a class. This is a self-assessment tool to determine if you are ready for physical activity and does not need to be returned to the Mount Fitness Centre.

In light of recent announcement from the NS government regarding the COVID 19 pandemic, we are taking the precaution of canceling the following classes for March 16 (list classes). We are continuing to monitor the situation and will provide additional updates as they become available.
