Girls Volleyball Camps

The MSVU women’s volleyball team is hosting a two-day junior high skills camp this September!

Facilitated by MSVU women’s volleyball head coach Derrick Brooks, assistant coaches and members of the Mystics team, this camp is designed to focus on volleyball skill development with an emphasis on proper technique. Participants will receive instruction in a challenging and fun environment to help prepare them for the school season ahead.

For girls in grades 6-9.
– Friday, September 18, 2026   |   6:30 – 9:30 p.m.
– Saturday, September 19, 2026   |  10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Fee: $175.00. Registration includes a camp shirt.
Location: MSVU gymnasium, 131 Lumpkin Road, Halifax

What to bring:
– Participants will require volleyball apparel, a water bottle, snacks and a lunch on Saturday.
– Please note we are a nut-free camp.

Boys Basketball Camps & Programs

The MSVU Mystics are excited to offer day camp options for boys this summer! Our camps will include:
– a camp T-shirt
– athletic development
– skill instruction
– small competitive games
– full court 5 on 5 each day

All campers will have the chance to work with Mystics players and the 2025 CCAA Men’s Basketball Coach of the Year, Danny De Palma, and will leave camp on Sunday as improved players.

U14+ session: July 2-4, 2026

In partnership with the Shotokai Karate Club, this well-established club has been providing karate programming at the Mount for over 30 years.

Shotokai is a non-competitive martial art that empowers children to improve themselves through practicing Karate-do, and it is a fun way to be active and stay fit. We offer this karate program for youth ages 7-15 of all skill levels.

Location: Mount Fitness Centre Gymnasium.

– Uniforms: Karate Gi’s are not mandatory for beginners. For all others, purchases can be arranged through Randy Veinotte.
– The Shotokai Karate Club will issue additional information regarding grading and uniform fees at the start of the session.
