What are the admissions requirements for high school students?

Your transcripts will need to be sent to us directly from your high school or agent.
What are the admissions requirements for transfer students?
Transfer students, please check the admission requirements on our Future Students-Transfer & 2+2 webpage.
We need official transcripts sent directly to us from your previous Post-Secondary institution. This can be via MyCreds™, mail, courier or email (if sent from an institutional email address).
What are the admissions requirements for graduate students?

What is an official transcript?
Official transcripts need to be sent by the transcript office(s) of the institutions you attended.
Electronic transcripts are only considered official if they are sent directly from the transcript office(s) of the institution or via MyCreds™.
Electronic transcripts are not accepted from applicants.
Where should I send my transcript?
Nova Scotia students are able to submit their transcripts using the Nova Scotia Scotia High School Electronic Transcript Request Consent Form.
Canadian transfer students can have their transcripts submitted via MyCreds™.
Hard copy transcripts can be sent by mail/courier in a sealed envelope, directly from the issuing institution to:

How do I pay my application fee?
Application fees and confirmation deposits can be paid online.
I am a Bachelor of Education (BEd) or graduate applicant. How do I check if my documents were received?
BEd or graduate applicants are responsible for uploading documents through myMount. Upon applying, you will receive an email with account information and login details. You can login to myMount and upload supporting documents as well as check the processing status of your documents.
I have applied, paid my application fee and submitted all my documents. When will I receive an admission decision?
For undergraduate applicants, please allow 5-10 business days for review of your application. Processing times may be longer during peak times.
Please do not contact us to inquire about your admissions status. We will contact you as soon as an admissions decision has been made.
For graduate applicants, please contact the Office of Graduate Studies at graduate@msvu.ca
For BEd applicants, please contact the Faculty of Education at education@msvu.ca
Please note that BEd and graduate decisions will be assessed by the appropriate faculty/department after the official deadlines have passed.
I am an international applicant. When will I receive my official acceptance letter?
International students will first receive an email regarding an admission decision. Official acceptance letters will be issued upon payment of the confirmation deposit.
I received my letter of acceptance. How do I confirm my offer?
Pay the confirmation deposit as instructed in your offer of admission letter.
Confirmation deposits can be paid online.
I have paid my confirmation deposit but haven’t received my official letter?
Please allow 3-5 business days for your deposit to be processed.
I wish to defer my acceptance and change my start term?
Undergraduate acceptances are valid for one year (or four start terms). If accepted for Fall 2026, you may start in Fall 2026, Winter 2027, Summer 2027 or Fall 2027.
A new acceptance letter will not be issued. You simply register for classes and request a confirmation of enrolment letter.
BEd and/or graduate students must request a deferral.

How do I register for classes?
You can register through myMount.
For any registration related issues, please email registration@msvu.ca (from your MSVU email account).
Be sure to include your MSVU student ID; your full name; and term, course and section numbers of courses to be added, dropped or waitlisted for (for example, 2026/FA BUSI 1112 01).
Note: We do not take registration requests over the phone.
Where do I find information on course offerings?
Search our full course list to see what MSVU is currently offering without logging into myMount. Simply pick a term from the drop down and click submit.
I don’t know what courses to register for?
Please contact the Centre for Academic Advising and Student Success at advising@msvu.ca or book an appointment online.

How do I request a confirmation of enrolment letter?
To request a confirmation on enrolment letter, please go to the Registrar’s Office Forms webpage and complete the Letter Request form.

How do I request my MSVU transcript?
Download the Transcript Request form on our Transcript Request webpage.
Complete and sign the form and email to transcripts@msvu.ca (from your MSVU email account).
