Mount President and Vice-Chancellor, Kathryn Laurin has been named one of Atlantic Business Magazine’s 2009 Top 50 CEOs.  Since joining the University in 2006, President Laurin has spearheaded the development of the University’s strategic plan, Destination 2012 and continues to drive its implementation.  She is also directing the Mount’s $16-million capital campaign that will help bring to fruition the development of a new Teaching, Learning and Research Centre, as well as scholarships and an endowed chair in learning disabilities.

President Laurin has brought to the university an eclectic mix of experience as an accomplished conductor, academic, and administrative leader. This past year she and her senior administrative team have focused on the development of a new academic plan, a business plan and key strategic enrolment initiatives to address enrolment challenges.
