Undergraduate Application

Review the following sections that apply to you to ensure your application is complete.

1. Complete all sections of the Application for Admission.
2. Submit a non-refundable application fee of $40 CAD for domestic applicants and $80 CAD for international (Visa) applicants. If you want to pay this online at the time you submit your application, please have your credit card information ready.
3. Request official transcripts

Transcript Requirements

High School Applicants
Applicants for admission from high school must have an official transcript of the high school record forwarded directly from the high school to the Registrar’s Office. Applicants applying from a Nova Scotia high school do not need to submit an official transcript from the high school as it will be requested by the Registrar’s Office through the Nova Scotia MyTranscripts system.

Transfer Applicants
Applicants who have previously attended, or are currently attending, another post-secondary college or university may be eligible for transfer credits. Applicants must submit official documents of ALL previous post-secondary academic work regardless of whether they are seeking recognition of transfer credits for a particular program. Students who fail to declare prior study or to supply such documentation may be denied admission to the University or be dismissed upon subsequent discovery.

Mature Applicants
Students who have been out of the high school system for a period of time may be considered for admission on an individual basis. Please refer to section 2.1.4.3 Mature Admission Policy for the complete policy.

A transcript is official only if it comes directly from your high school, college and/or university to our Registrar’s Office.Official hard copy transcripts can be mailed to:

If your high school, college, and/or university provides electronic transcripts, you may request that they send your e-transcript to undergraduate.documents@msvu.ca. You can also have your e-transcript sent to us via MyCreds.

Please note: Previously registered MSVU students may not need to re-apply. Please contact the Registrar’s Office at 902.457.6117 or admissions@msvu.ca for additional information.
