It may be a little known tradition at the Mount, but it’s a fantastic one!

Each year, the kids of the Mount’s Child Study Centre draw and caption their interpretations of the 12 Days of Christmas. And each year, the results are wonderful.

Day 1

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me...A Partridge in a Pear Tree


“Mine is a bird in a tree. There was a hole in the tree. The wind was blowing. Blowing everywhere in the world.”




Day 2

On the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me...2 Turtle Doves

“The two birds with the tree. The tree is blowing over.”





Day 3

On the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me...3 French Hens

“The birds are eating my people because they are vampire birds.”

On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me...4 Calling Birds

“It’s just a bird walking in the snow.”
