Developed in collaboration with industry experts and partners, Microcredentials at Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU) are short, focused learning programs designed to meet emerging needs and provide in-demand skills training. A microcredential represents the achievement of very specific skills or competencies valued by employers.
Unlike traditional degrees or certifications, microcredentials are non-credit courses. Each microcredential comes with a digital badge that serves as a validated proof of completion of the course that can be shared with employers, on platforms like LinkedIn, and on a resumé.
MSVU has two online microcredential offerings starting in early May:
- Case Management Fundamentals starting on May 7, 2026.
- Community Engagement: Meaning and Methods starting on May 8, 2026.
