Today, November 15, is National Philanthropy Day – a day to celebrate those who give and how their generosity is creating a better world.

As a valued member of the MSVU community, I am reaching out to you to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support of our special university. Whether you contribute financially, donate your time, or share your experience and talents, I want you to know that the impact of your support is substantial.

MSVU really is a special kind of university, unique in its commitment to making education accessible to all students, to the advancement of women, and to making an impact for communities.

Thank you for being a part of that.

In the past year, for example, we’ve been able to establish new bursary funds for Indigenous Students and put a deserving spotlight on even more women on our Riva Spatz Women’s Wall of Honour – all thanks to you. I invite you to learn more about the MANY impacts of philanthropy in all forms at MSVU through the heartwarming stories featured in our most recent Donor Impact Report.

With your support, we have been trailblazers when it comes to making education accessible to underserved populations. And, as we get set to mark MSVU’s 150th anniversary in 2023, we look forward to a future of blazing new paths together.

Once again, thank you!

With sincere appreciation,

Dr. Joël Dickinson
