Panel discussion about family diversity and wellbeing
Mount Saint Vincent University, in partnership with the Vanier Institute of the Family, will host a timely and thought-provoking panel discussion exploring the evolving concept of family in Canada and its importance in today’s society.
This free public event will highlight lived experiences, research insights, and front-line practice to deepen understanding of family diversity and its impacts. All are welcome.
This event also marks the official launch of four new programs within the newly named department of Aging and Family Science at MSVU: a major in Aging and Honours in Aging, as well as a Major and Honours in Family Science. These programs will also include a practicum so students will apply their learning in real life positions.
When: Tuesday, June 2, 2026, 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. ADT
Where: This is a hybrid event, so attendees can join in-person or online.
In-person location: The Multi-Purpose Room within the Rosaria Student Centre at MSVU [campus map]
