Dear students, faculty and staff,

Welcome to a new academic year at Mount Saint Vincent University!

To those students, faculty and staff who are new this year – you’ve joined a diverse community that sees the strength in our differences and aims to make space for all. Our university’s commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility runs deep. True inclusion is a work in progress and we are always striving to improve. If you face any barriers during your MSVU experience, please let us know. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from one another; I certainly look forward to learning from you.

Will there be challenges this year? Of course. We’ll all be challenged at times, but that’s an important part of the process too. In those moments, please remember that you’re not alone in this journey. At MSVU, you’re surrounded by people who support you.

This year is set to be a big one as we prepare to launch new academic offerings and begin construction on projects that will transform our campus and our connections with the broader community. I’m excited to have you along for these adventures.

Once again, a warm welcome and welcome back to all of you. I’m thrilled to have you as part of the MSVU community. We’re going to do great things together this year.

Joël
