The MSVU Research Office is pleased to present Michael Sullivan’s webinar on Artificial Intelligence, Research, and Research Security on Wednesday, November 19 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm through Microsoft Teams.

While many in academia are aware of the opportunities and challenges AI presents, its potential impact on researchers’ ability to secure funding is less understood. This presentation will guide researchers in navigating research security frameworks and understanding how these frameworks intersect with the transformative nature of AI technologies

Michael Sullivan is the Director of Research Security at Dalhousie University and is the co-chair of a provincial working group drafting Nova Scotia’s policy on Research Security. Prior to Dalhousie Michael worked over twenty years in roles relating to defence trade compliance and national security. Michael is also a part-time Lecturer in the Department of History at Crandall University.
