We're here for you and your student

Just a 12 minute drive from the hustle and bustle of downtown Halifax, the Mount's campus is made up of a small, tight-knit community overlooking the beautiful Bedford Basin. We're proud to offer what we consider the 'best of both worlds' - a small, rural-feeling campus not far from a vibrant downtown core.

While watching your student transition to university is always a positive experience, there are times that you may feel a little left out of the process, or anxious as to what next steps may be. At the Mount, we strive to make sure parents and guardians feel like part of our community. It is our hope that our new quarterly publication, paraMOUNT, will help you understand the ins and outs of university life, the admissions process, what it means to live in residence in the 21st century, and of course, keep in touch with our team.

We also encourage you to explore our several parent resources below, that should help answer any questions that you may have in the short term. Of course, you can always email us at msvu.ca, and a member of our team will be happy to respond to your inquiry.

A message from Kyle

ksteeleOn a daily basis, our team tries our best to ensure that a student's journey through the enrolment process is as smooth as possible. However, while we realize that ultimately the choice to go to, and choose a university is the student's decision, you as a parent or guardian are involved in the process in some way shape or form.

Having been by the side of your student for as long as you have, it only makes sense that you too will have questions about this process. From admissions, to scholarships, to ensuring your student's safety, our team is committed to being here for you, just as we are for your student.

I want to finish by taking this time to emphasize what an exciting time this is as your student takes the next step in their life. Support them, encourage them, and understand that over the next four years, the commitment you make to them will absolutely be worth it when they cross the stage as a proud Mount graduate.

If at any time you have questions, please don't hesitate to email us at msvu.ca.

All the best,
Kyle E-Sig
