The average number of people living in poverty in Canada is 1 in 10.  In Halifax, the average is 1 in 8. 
United Way Halifax works to stop the cycle of poverty, strengthen our neighbourhoods, and improve community health.  Let’s show the people of Halifax that the Mount cares by making a donation or volunteering your time. 

How to Donate:

Participation forms are distributed to gather donations.All faculty and staff who have submitted a pledge form are eligible to win bi-weekly prize draws!

Donations are gladly accepted by:

» Payroll deduction
» Cash or cheque
» Credit card (Visa, Master Card, American Express)
» Online at http://www.unitedwayhalifax.ca/

Need an extra Participation form? Contact any member of the Mount's United Way Committee.

You can support other charities and agencies through the United Way! Your donation will count towards the Mount’s campaign while helping your charity to establish a stronger relationship with the United Way. 

Fun ways to give:

» Win with donation forms 
Pledge donations are eligible for bi-weekly prize draws beginning October 20th. 
Make it fun with Power Hour (1 hr. of pay) or CLUB 365 ($1 day for the United Way).

» 50/50 draws
Starting October 13, buy tickets for the bi-weekly Friday draws.

» Holiday Raffles
Buy tickets for the Holiday Raffle sold just before and during the Holiday Luncheon.

» Day of Caring
On December 7th, share your support by volunteering in the community.
