WUSC is a Canadian international development non-profit organization dedicated to improving education, employment and empowerment opportunities for youth, women and refugees in more than 25 countries around the world. For over fifty years, we have empowered our network of post-secondary institutions, private sector partners and volunteers to help build a more equitable and sustainable world for youth.
In the WUSC Local Committee, our volunteers support students in the Student Refugee Program (SRP) in different ways.
If you would like to be involved in welcoming our SRP students, helping them settle in Halifax and even becoming a mentor to them, then this is the committee for you!
Sign up if you are interested in hosting and/or participating in playing board games. We plan to have this activity once or twice a month.
Sign up if you are interested in hosting and/or participating in creating crafts for the holidays. For example: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, etc.
Sign up if you are interested in helping to organize the Spring Festival in Winter 2023 semester.
