The Mount offers graduate programs in:

Important Policies:

Deferral of Admission
Once an offer of admission is accepted, students with bona fide reasons may apply to defer admission for up to 12 months. Applications for deferrals must be submitted in writing to the Dean of Graduate Studies, prior to September 1 of the year of acceptance. Students granted such deferrals must confirm their intention to register in the subsequent academic year by the closing date of application for the program. Students who do not defer admission will be deemed to have rejected the offer and can not register.

Time Limit for Program Completion
Students must complete all program requirements towards masters degrees within five calendar years from the time of initial registration exclusive of approved leaves of absence.

Extensions
Students who anticipate that they will be unable to complete program requirements within the five-year time period must submit an Extension to Complete Degree Request Form to the Dean Graduate Studies before the end of the fifth year. Normally only students completing the thesis requirement will be granted an extension unless there are special mitigating circumstances.

Graduate Studies Committees

The Dean of Graduate Studies chairs two committees of Senate with responsibility to administer graduate studies, and to bring forward proposals for programs and policies pertaining to graduate studies.

  • The Graduate Studies Program and Policy Committee
  • The Graduate Studies Scholarships, Assistantships, and Awards Committee

The Student's Union names a student representative to the Graduate Studies Program and Policy Committee.
