Can my friend pick me up at the airport?

No, your family/friends cannot pick you up from the airport and you may not take the public bus to go to the hotel.

You are required to book a private taxi to take you from the airport to the hotel. Confirmation of taxi booking is required to complete your MSVU Quarantine Plan.

Can I quarantine in my friend's place, family member's place, or my own place?

No, unfortunately you are not permitted to quarantine outside the MSVU approved hotels or MSVU on-campus residence if you are planning to live on-campus for 1-full year.

Can my friend(s) and I quarantine in the same hotel room?

You are only able to quarantine together in a hotel room if you are travelling together AND you will be Halifax roommates (proof of joint lease is required).

You must email international@msvu.ca to obtain written approval to present to the hotel upon check-in.
