CBC Halifax's Colleen Jones visited the competitors at the 2012 Mission: ImPULSEible event at Mount St., Vincent University. Mission: ImPULSEible is an annual competition hosted by pulse Canada, the national association representing Canada's pulse industry. Mission: ImPULSeible challenges post secondary food science and culinary students at Canadian institutions to develop a new food product using Canadian whole pulses or their fractions (flours, fibre, starch, protein) as the major ingredient. In 2012, provincial competitions were held in Nova Scotia, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. Each provincial winner will compete at the National Mission:ImPULSEible competition in Montreal on June 27.
