When you enroll in our Master of Education program in Curriculum Studies, you can choose from one of these areas of concentration:

  • General Curriculum Studies: Discover how educators and schools can accommodate different student needs and interests by critically examining curriculum theory and practice or the learning strategies within a particular field.
  • Supporting Learners with Special Needs and Exceptionalities (SLDNE): Explore how a school’s organizational structures and culture can affect student success by responding to students’ strengths, needs and interests. Examine ways to embrace diversity as a point of strength as you critically review strategies to develop curriculum, assess student development, and implement individual programming.
  • NEW  Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) We are excited to launch our new Master of Education TESOL program, read more about our announcement. We are currently updating our program information in the University calendar and on our website. If you are interested in pursuing the program, please contact Education@msvu.ca
  • Education of Young Adolescents: This program is currently under review.

In addition, students enrolled in the General Curriculum Studies program can focus their studies on one of these cohort program areas:
