Clientele:
Materials selected for Cultural Studies are used by Cultural Studies students, and faculty and students in English, History, Public Relations, Education, Women's Studies, Canadian Studies, Modern Languages, Religious Studies, and Sociology & Anthropology.


Responsibility:
Materials are selected by librarians and faculty. In addition, librarians use the Reference allocation to acquire specialized encyclopedias and dictionaries.


Scope:
Current English language monographs are chosen. Videotapes and dvds may be selected under this allocation. Donations are accepted, particularly books on visual culture, Canadian cultural history, gender issues in culture, and women in the arts.


Exclusions:
Unpublished dissertations, manuscripts, popular works without academic interest. Musical scores are generally not acquired, unless printed in texts on musical instruction.
