Help with Resumes

Career Assistants are upper-year Mount students trained to help you improve your resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile.

Preparing for a resume review:

  • Contact us to book a half-hour appointment with a Career Assistant (902-457-6139) or book online at Career Connects
  • Prepare the first draft of your resume and cover letter. Review the Resume Critique Handbook for formatting tips and sample resume layouts. The Career Assistant will use the Handbook during your resume critique appointment.
  • If you are applying for a specific job, scholarship, or program, also send the job posting or list of desired skills (as an attachment, link, or in the body of the email).
  • Show up to your appointment on time. Bring a copy of your resume for reference.

Resume critiques give students the information they need to best display their skills on paper. It is not an editing service - you are ultimately responsible for crafting and proofreading your own resume.
