UPDATE for Community Members: August 31, 2020
To our valued community members,
As mentioned in previous communications, the Mount Fitness Centre is part of Mount Saint Vincent University’s “return to campus” plan. This is a phased approach that will begin this fall with MSVU students only. A specific return date for community members, as well as MSVU Faculty and Staff members, has not yet been determined.
On July 20, an email was sent to all members who held an active membership as of our March 16 COVID-19 closure date. This email outlines options that are available at this time, including membership holds, pro-rated credits and pro-rated reimbursements.
If you were a current member and did not receive our email, please contact us at email@example.com
We understand this is probably not the news you were hoping for and people want to get back into their daily routines. While this may not be your “usual” routine, we encourage you to try our virtual online fitness classes! They will remain FREE until September 3, 2020.
Our Fitness and Recreation programs will continue online this fall using Microsoft Teams. For complete program details, please visit our Virtual Fitness Program page and our Virtual Recreation Program page.

Day Camp COVID-19 Update:
PD Day Camp update:
Update: August 31, 2020
To our day camp families,
As the start of school approaches, we wanted to provide an update as to the status of our PD Day Camp program. The Mount continues a phased, return-to-campus approach. With the health and safety at the forefront of planning, access to our campus remains limited. We know parents and guardians are eager to finalize their childcare plans for this Fall, and with our limited campus access, we have made the decision to cancel our PD Day Camp program for fall 2020. We remain hopeful we will be able to offer PD and March Break Day Camps in the winter and spring of 2021. A announcement on those camps will be made in January 2021.
Summer Camp Update:
UPDATE: May 19, 2020
To our day camp families,
COVID-19 has certainly made an impact on our daily lives and the health and safety of your family remains a top priority.
As our Public Health experts begin to share plans for the cautious re-opening of our province, it has become increasingly apparent that organizations will need to practice physical distancing and limit the size of gatherings throughout the summer and into the fall. Due to these restrictions, we must cancel our 2020 summer day camp program.
This decision is a difficult one. We are committed to a high standard of care and are disappointed we won’t see you and your kids this summer.
Next week we will start the process of contacting each family currently registered in our summer camp program to provide full refunds. All refunds will be complete by early June. If you did not receive your refund, please email email@example.com
It is our hope that, with the direction of Public Health, we will be able to offer PD camps starting this fall. As this situation continues to evolve, additional details regarding fall operations will be provided on our camp webpage.
Throughout the summer we are offering a series called MFC Kids. It will include fun resources, ideas and some messages from former camp staff! Check out our MFC Kids Zone today! Please tell your camper that we will miss them, that we are thinking about them and we can’t wait to see them in the near future!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Wishing you all the best. Stay safe and take care!
