Black Student Awards Fund

Meet Temilola Olowookere, a graduate student in Applied Human Nutrition and a Research Assistant at the Centre for Applied Research at Mount Saint Vincent University. As a proud Black woman and former Black Student Support Assistant at the Black Student Support Office on campus, Temilola knows first-hand the challenges Black students face.

Temilola would like to help more Black students reach their true potential at MSVU. Every day, Black students strive for academic excellence, while trying to overcome real and historical financial obstacles. The reality is many Black students begin their university experience with significant socio-economic challenges. The reasons for this vary, but the consequences are the same: Black students often drop out of school, despite their incredible intellect and promising potential, due to an unavailability of funds.

We can change this. Every gift to the Black Student Awards Fund provides an opportunity for Black students to learn and grow and reach their full potential. Will you please donate to MSVU’s new Black Student Awards Fund today? Supporting the Black Student Awards Fund is an opportunity to make a lasting difference.

Your donation will help reduce financial barriers to achieving academic success. Your support will mean more Black students will reach their academic and career goals. Your gift will build strong futures for so many.

Donate today.

Thank you!
