Teaching and Learning Centre and Online Learning

Our academic support unit is a resource for all part and full-time faculty, a collaborative hub which supports the advancement of teaching and learning at the Mount. Our unit works to support teaching and learning in face-to-face classrooms, online classrooms and everything in between. We work to support student learning by facilitating faculty teaching development.

We maintain three distinct areas of service:

  • Faculty development and support
  • Online course development
  • Administration and support of our Mount Online learning platform

Supporting Teaching and Learning at the Mount

At the TLCOL, you can consult with us on any aspect of your teaching. We are focused on enhancing teaching and learning at the Mount. We offer a variety of supports and a year-long calendar of programming designed to promote faculty teaching development. We have developed a teaching and learning resource repository which contains resources to support faculty with many aspects of teaching and learning, including how-to instructions, articles, templates, guides, demonstration videos, and toolkits. You can access the teaching and learning resource repository by clicking here. We are here to provide you with support in many forms including:

  • Confidential one-on-one consultations
  • Group/departmental consultations
  • Workshops
  • Reading club
  • Discussion series
  • Faculty showcases
  • And other teaching and learning events
