Mathematics and Computer Studies Department and Statistics Program Profiles
BA ( with Arts minor) or BSC ( with science minor) degree with Mathematics major in a 15 or 20 unit program. BA or BSC Honours degree with Maths major or a BSC with a Maths major and an Honours certificate.
BA or BSC with a Computer Studies minor ( 3 units of credit).
Minors ( 3 units of credit) are offered in Maths or Applied Statistics.
The Mount offers courses that may be counted towards a Bachelor of Computer Science at Dalhousie. The program is accredited by the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS).
Diploma in Information Technology and Computer Science is offered jointly with the Information Technology Department.

In addition to students and faculty in Maths, Computer Studies and Applied Statistics, materials ordered under this allocation are used by faculty and students in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Business, Economics, Information Technology, Education, Psychology , and Sociology. For some programs, courses in Statistics and Probability are mandatory.
Materials are ordered by librarians and faculty in Mathematics and Computer Studies. Librarians order handbooks, specialized dictionaries and glossaries, tables of formulae incl. conversion factors, using the Reference allocation.
Current English language publications are selected. Computer software packages will be acquired, and will be fully catalogued for Novanet. The library accepts donations of recently published textbooks or newer editions of works already in the collection.
Unpublished dissertations, manuscripts, lab manuals, workbooks and other consumables. The University Archives does accept written reports from Honours projects undertaken by Mount students.
