Presidential search update

In anticipation of Dr. Ramona Lumpkin’s retirement in July 2017, the Mount embarked on the process to select a new President and Vice-Chancellor this past spring.

Since the process began, we have gathered the input of the Mount community toward the development of a comprehensive position profile. We have also advertised the position and, over the summer months, the search firm assisting with our search spoke with individuals interested in the role.

Based on that work, at the most recent meeting of the university’s Presidential Search Committee (held September 28, 2016),
an initial interview list was developed. In the weeks ahead, we will begin a first round of interviews.

We will continue to keep you posted on the search process as we advance in the process to select a new president.
