Presidential search survey launched

We have recently embarked on the process of selecting a new President and Vice-Chancellor for Mount Saint Vincent University. The search will be comprehensive in scope with an integral portion being a process of consultation. To assist with our search, we have engaged the services of Laverne Smith & Associates, a firm with extensive experience in the university sector (including the Mount’s last presidential search).

The University’s Presidential Search Committee recently held its first meeting to discuss the next steps in the process. Further to that meeting, a survey has been developed to gather the input of Mount faculty, staff, students, alumnae, members of the Board of Governors and other community leaders regarding the opportunities and challenges facing the new President as well as desired attributes.

You are invited to complete this brief survey at this link. Your responses will go directly to Laverne Smith & Associates and will be held in confidence. The Mount’s Presidential Search Committee will review the aggregated information and use it as a guide in the search process, in particular in the development of the more extensive position profile.

Your input is critical and I encourage you to take a few minutes to share your thoughts via this survey.

If you have any questions about the process to select the Mount’s next President and Vice-Chancellor, please do not hesitate to contact me at any point via boardchair@msvu.ca.

Thank you for your time and input.

Jolene Mahody
