We are looking to recruit beta testers for this app, if you are interested please contact msvu.ca
Wifi Zones
Stay connected with our expanding wifi coverage! We are always improving our student services and are happy to provide students with an extensive wifi coverage in zones across campus and throughout residences. More info and wifi zone maps.
Student Usernames and Webmail
As a registered student you are automatically provided a Novell Network account. This will enable you to sign into the computing facilities on campus and access your Mount webmail account. Your account logon information is emailed to you the first time you register for a course at the Mount.
This account information also gives you access to your Mount student email. Students are required to use their official Mount email address (msvu.ca) to send and receive all university correspondence. Your Mount webmail user id and password is the same as the one you use to login to the campus computers. More Info
If you don't know (or forgot) your username and/or password you can visit the computer help desk in the library in EMF or submit the Username Request form.
Beware of Phishing !
Phishing is the process of attempting to acquire sensitive information such as usernames, passwords and credit card details by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.
No MSVU representative, such as the IT&S helpdesk or Registrar’s office, will ask you for the type of info that email phishing attempts are looking for, especially passwords. We already have the majority of this information if you are in the system, either as an employee or a student. We will NEVER ask for your password.
If you realize that you have replied to a phishing email, please change your password immediately. If you are not sure that an email is really from MSVU, please contact msvu.ca or visit the helpdesk in EMF. The only time we will ask you for account information is when you initiate contact with the helpdesk. The helpdesk may ask you for some specific information to verify/confirm who you are before resetting your password or any other account changes.
For your reference, please view the example Phishing email.
