Hello, my name is Abigail and I will be your SI Leader for Introductory Accounting. I am in my second year of my BBA with majors in Accounting and Management. In my free time, I enjoy reading and traveling. When you hear the word accounting you may be thinking to yourself, “I really do not like or understand accounting.” Fortunately for you, I really like and understand accounting. It is all good if you do not like accounting because I am here to help you understand it so you can be successful this semester. If you are unsure if the SI sessions are for you, come by say hello and check it out, you never know it could be super helpful. Looking forward to meeting you this semester!

Elise Blacker - English/History Writing Workshop SI portrait

Hello! My name is Elise Blacker and I am one of the English/History Department Writing Workshop tutors! That means that I am available to help you with any questions, from general ideas to essay structure, about writing for English or History courses. If that sounds like it might be helpful, feel free to drop by SAC 504 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-4 pm, no strings attached. A little more about me, I am a History Major in my third year and currently struggling to find a topic for an Honours thesis. Luckily I have a few months left! I love books, especially historical fiction (surprise), cats (I have two), drawing, the Oxford comma, and pizza. I hope that you find some time to swing by and take advantage of this free service, even if you don't think that you need it!

Hope Tohme- English/History Writing Workshophope

Hi there, everybody! My name is Hope Tohme and I am one of the English/History Writing Workshop tutors. What does that mean? (You may ask). Well, it means that I am here to help any student enrolled in an English or History course with their written assignments (i.e. helping you find solutions to your questions, make a nuanced argument, work through thoughts and ideas, etc). So drop by SAC 526 on Mondays and Wednesdays anytime between 3:00 and 4:00pm, and I will gladly be there to help you through the struggle that is university. Please stay tuned for winter hours and location... A little more about me: I am in my fourth year at the Mount, working on my English degree, burritos are probably one of the greatest foods ever invented (in my opinion), and kittens make me super happy. I'm so stoked to work with you guys, so please don't hesitate to take advantage of this totally free service!

James Gailey - BIOL 1152/BIOL 1153 panama j.g si

Greetings to all my fellow Biology enthusiasts.
My name is James Gailey, and I am the SI leader for Introductory Biology.
Originally, I was inspired to major in Biology by my healthy obsession with
insects and other invertebrates. Though, after expanding my horizons
during my first year at the Mount I’ve grown quite curious about cellular and molecular
biology, and my aim is to actively contribute to this growing field through
research someday. So feel free to stop by the SI sessions where we can
share priceless pieces of wisdom with each other, such as: “mitochondria
are the powerhouse of the cell.”
