Experienced tutors at the Writing Centre help students with all types of academic written work -- including presentations, slides, speeches, and posters, as well as all stages of research papers for both undergraduate and graduate levels. Whether you're fresh out of high school, just arrived from overseas, or going back to school after many years away: we can help.

  • The Centre offers bookable appointment hours on weekdays and weekends, as a free service for all Mount students, faculty, and staff -- for academic, creative, and professional writing.
  • In addition to single appointments, you can book regular, repeat appointments in the same time slot all term.
  • Didn't book? Quick question? No problem! We offer a weekly drop-in (Summer II term, Mondays 11 - 1  / Fall & Winter terms, Friday 10 - 1).

  • The Centre is open for all academic terms, including Summer Sessions (closed between terms).

  • Our tutors edit and proofread with you (we don't correct your papers for you.) Our aim is to help you learn to do these tasks yourself.
