MSVU SU Awards night Emcee

The MSVU Students’ Union (SU) is looking for an Emcee for their annual awards night. The event takes place March 25th from 5:30PM – 9:30PM in the Rosaria Multi-purpose Room and requires an individual who possess both capable speaking skills as well as stage presence to keep a high level of entertainment throughout the night.

The annual Student Awards Night is an event that brings students, university administration, faculty, staff and business partners together for an evening celebration student success in academics, athletics and leadership. It is here that we are able to acknowledge those who have succeeded in their specific fields and have demonstrated dedication to the university in their individual pursuits.

Your job as Emcee will be simple. Speak clearly, and keep the night going. A script will be provided, which will be developed in collaboration between you and the Students’ Union. We also will be providing a financial stipend so that your hard work is indeed rewarded.

If you are interested in being Emcee for the 2010 MSVU Student Awards Night, please inquire with the MSVU SU and Jeremy Neilson at mountstudents.ca. Please include a resume and be prepared to demonstrate speaking skills at an interview.

Thanks, and we look forward to you joining our awards night team!

I am looking for a student to help on two levels.   One is helping me create a face book presence that messages me and my company in a way that creates awareness around my brand.  The other is possibly presenting written articles to interested magazine and newspaper publishers.  There could be other opportunities as I learn about their capabilities.  Interested students can get some background information at www.barrybraun.com.

Please have students who would be interested in working on a part time basis in their field contact me at businesspathways.com

Many thanks

I am writing on behalf of the Cole Harbour Community Access Program Board, a non-profit organization providing computer training for all ages, free internet access and computer use, located on the second floor of Cole Harbour Place.

We are seeking a volunteer who would be willing to assist with the promotion of the Site, its location and services, by means of written materials such as a revised brochure, posters, and promotion within the community.

This person might also be involved in assisting with promotion of  the occasional event, such as an upcoming dance or volunteer appreciation week, through posters, flyers and the media.

It would be desirable for this person to attend the board meetings which are held 6:30 to 8 pm every six weeks at Cole Harbour Place.

Anyone interested and wanting to know more can call me as below (which are personal numbers with an answering machine), as I am not in the Cap Site office every day.
