Mount Saint Vincent University, Department of Child and Youth Study, offers professional development workshops and training opportunities to individuals currently working in the field of early childhood education.

Spring 2010

This Spring we welcome U.S. author & international speaker, Diana Henry, MS, OTR/L, FAOTA, who will be presenting two workshops, Sensory Tools for Pre-Teens & Teens™ and Tools for Tots: Sensory Strategies for Toddlers & Preschoolers™. 

Other workshops being offered will include learning disabilities, promoting positive behaviour, and Basic Management Development for ECEs & Advanced Management for Directors series.  The Practical Strategies for Incorporating Children with Autism in the Inclusive Child Care Environment will be offered in Yarmouth, and more fun and creative ideas to engage the children with Kathy Black, who will be facilitating sessions in both Yarmouth and Halifax this Spring

 *Our Winter/Spring 2010 workshop brochures, including complete information on workshops, dates and registration forms will be sent out in February 2010 for workshops beginning in late March.
