Prepare To Take Your Place in the Business World

There are so many avenues open to you when you graduate with an education in Management from the Mount. You could forge a career in human resource management, or compensation, or benefits ManagementV2018administration. Or you could become an entrepreneur and run your own business. Or you could  complete a professional management credential in areas such as the Institute of Canadian Bankers, the Insurance Institute of Canada, the Purchasing Management Association of Canada, and the Association of Administrative Assistants. At the Mount you can choose a major, a minor, or a concentration in management in the Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

BBA with a Major in Management

You will gain the knowledge and experience necessary to manage businesses, non-profit and public sector organizations. To earn a BBA with a management major, you must complete a total of six full units of management courses in your degree program. If you plan on earning professional designations in management, you may want to complete a major in management, rather than a minor. The more management courses you complete, the greater the chances of getting course exemptions in post-grad professional studies.

BBA with a Management Concentration

You may choose to complete a concentration in management instead of a major. The management concentration is ideal if you want to learn about business management and another area of business administration as well. You can also take a double concentration, with the second in another field that interests you. For example, you could combine this concentration with a second concentration in marketing, finance, accounting, economics, or tourism and hospitality management.

When you take a double concentration, you will get a better overall understanding more than one facet of business which, in turn, gives you more employment opportunities when you graduate.

If you are interested in completing professional designations in management, you may want to complete a concentration in management, as opposed to a minor. The more management courses you complete, the more your likelihood of receiving course exemptions in post-grad professional studies.

BBA with a Minor in Management

You have the option of taking a minor in management which means you will need to complete three full units of coursework. With a management minor, you can learn about the field of management while doing a major, concentration or a second minor in another area of business.

If you are interested in completing professional designations in management, you may want to complete a major or concentration in management, as opposed to a minor. The more management courses you complete, the more your likelihood of receiving course exemptions in post-grad professional studies.
