Professor Elsie Henderson, Assistant Professor, Accounting & Finance

Elsie began pursuing a post secondary education when her daughter began primary school. She understands fully, the desire to pursue higher education and The Mount was just the place for her to do this. She scheduled her education around her two children’s schedules. When she graduated in 1991 with a BBA with distinction, she chose to continue her studies and acquired her Chartered Accountant’s designation in 1993. Since then she has worked as a controller, advisor and audit manager. In addition, she has taught many accounting courses as a part-time professor with Mount Saint Vincent University.

Elsie strongly believes in Life Long Learning, both in the classroom and through life experiences. The desire to continue learning, teaching and contributing led Elsie to begin studying for her MBA Finance in 2010.

BBA (MSVU) 1991 - With distinction, CA (1993), Candidate MBA Finance, Aspen University.
