Refresh Your Course Outline with a Transformational Perspective

A well-designed course outline is a powerful teaching and learning tool that can be used to move students from automated surface learning to transformational self-directed learning.  Course outlines invite students into our courses and set the expectations of the teaching and learning that awaits.  in this session, we explore the pedagogical reasoning behind the different parts, design, language and tone of a good course outline.  In small groups, we will work to create course outlines that balance effective pedagogy and institutional requirements with the goal of fostering deep and rich student learning.
