Kenyatta University is located in Kahawathe and is the second largest university in Kenya. It started in 1965 and has been a fully-fledged university since 1985.  Kenyatta University offers students technologically advanced facilities, strong academic programmes and a nurturing environment in which to learn and grow. There are approximately 20,000 students enrolled in this university. 

 

Courses

The university offers bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and doctoral degrees, and medical and law degrees through 11 campuses. The university has open-learning, e-learning, school-based, part-time and full-time teaching.

 

Housing

Students can either choose living on campus or off campus.  Residents on campus are divided into three zones. Students are provided with safe and secure living arrangements.   Cost for living on campus is different depending on the type of room, approximately $100 CAD to $200 CAD.
