Skills for Social Change: A certificate program for youth contributing to a better world!

 

The Coady Institute at Saint Francis Xavier University is now accepting applications to its Spring 2012 "Skills for Social Change" certificate program. This program is designed to bringing together community practitioners, allies and activists seeking to explore the personal, local and global complexities of community engagement and development.

 

Applications will be accepted until March 20, 2012. Those also applying for a scholarship to attend the program must apply by February 20, 2012. For more information on the program, as well as an online application, please see their website.

The SOAN department is excited to announce our 3rd Annual "Your SOAN Degree in Action: A Career Night" event, November 3rd. Students interested in SOAN are encouraged to come out and learn where sociology and anthropology has taken some of our former students, as well as other professionals.
