Graduate Studies in Curriculum Studies

Introduction

The Mount is widely recognized regionally and internationally for its graduate programs in education. We offer graduate programs that creatively combine theory and practice for primary and secondary teachers, literacy workers, adult educators, curriculum designers and people who work in a variety of educational institutions and organizations. We provide opportunities for teachers and educational professionals to gain the expertise they need to succeed in the classroom and become leaders in schools, workplaces and communities.

Masters of Education in Curriculum Studies, Focus on Leadership Development in Trinidad and Tobago

Master of Education in Curriculum Studies, Focus on Leadership Development program is designed to accommodate different student needs and interests related to the curriculum of schools and other learning institutions. Teachers and other education professionals (Education Officers, Facilitators/Instructors, Professional Development Coordinators, etc) benefit from this program. The program provides students with the opportunity to engage in theoretical and practical learning experiences in curriculum development and implementation practice, as well as leadership. Together with local partners this program is designed to meet their local needs and interests. Trinadad and Tobago

Since 2001 this program has been offered in Trinidad and Tobago in partnership with the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers’ Association (TTUTA). In 2004, the first cohort of students graduated and a celebration was held in Trinidad and Tobago. The Mount recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding to continue the program with the Trinidad and Tobago Institute for Teacher Advancement (TTITA), a subsidiary of TTUTA.
