Valda taught for three years at Acadia University while working on her Ph.D in Education. Her thesis topic was "Springboards or Boxes: Theorizing a Social Justice Pedagogy".
Publications
Valda is working on a book in collaboration with a professor at the University of Windsor. They both teach classes about social issues in teacher education and feel the need for a reference text instead of having to constantly invent course packages.
