Les 12es Journées de la Sociologie de l’Enfance se tiendront du 27 au 29 juin 2013 à Halifax en Nouvelle-Ecosse sur la côte Est du Canada. L’Université du Mont Saint-Vincent (Mount Saint-Vincent University) est une petite université anglophone qui permettra d’accueillir les participants du colloque sur son campus pittoresque au bord du bassin de Bedford.

Puisque les journées se tiendront pour la première fois dans un contexte majoritairement anglophone (il y a environ 4% seulement de la population en Nouvelle-Ecosse qui sont des francophones), nous allons également encourager des communications de chercheurs anglophones. Il faut pourtant insister sur le fait que toute communication en anglais devra avoir un support en langue française (p.ex. un fichier powerpoint et un résumé écrit en français au minimum).

The 12^th Sociology of Childhood Days will take place in Halifax, Nova Scotia, at the Canadian East Coast from June 27^th  to 29th 2013. The conference will be held at Mount Saint-Vincent University, a small Anglophone university welcoming conference participants on its picturesque campus facing the Bedford Basin. 

As, for the first time in its history, the Sociology of Childhood Days are taking place in a context with a majority of Anglophone speakers (approximately 4 % of the Nova Scotian population are Francophones) , we are also encouraging the submission of paper proposals by Anglophone researchers. Nevertheless, we are emphasizing the need that any presentation in English has to have at least a partial translation – e.g. in form of a bilingual powerpoint file and a written summary in French).
